About the Event
Since we are a Veteran-owned company and one of our founders is in the National Guard, we wanted to celebrate the tremendous history of the National Guard with a 5k.
The United States National Guard is part of the reserve components of the United States Army and the United States Air Force. It is a military reserve force composed of National Guard military members or units of each state and the territories of Guam, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia, for a total of 54 separate organizations. The National Guard was established December 13th, 1636 and has been kicking ass and taking names ever since. We owe to the National Guard the foundations for which our current military is built upon.
There are so many great stories stories of National Guard members doing amazing things. When you are a member of the National Guard, you are considered a Citizen Soldier/Airman. Its is a great privilege to be able to serve your country while still maintaining your normal job.
This race is in honor of all those who SERVED and continue to SERVE today. Honor them by running or walking a 5k and in retune you will get a great shirt and a unique military Style Challenge Coin. We will also be donating money to some worthwhile Veteran Charities.
